And some have spotted a device with model number SM-G900S at GFXBench – the model number suggests it could be the Galaxy Round’s successor, but what reduces the chances of that being the case is the hardware listed in the benchmark.
Look at the following table - this may be something we may have soon from Samsung:
Another spec that hints at the SM-G900S being the Galaxy S5 is the Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at ~2.5 GHz – the current cream of the crop Snapdragon 800 chips are all clocked at 2.3 GHz, so the one listed in the benchmark is an upgraded one (likely the 8974AB or 8974AC variant) that will offer even faster and more efficient performance (though the non-LTE variant will most likely use Samsung’s upcoming 64-bit Exynos chip.)
We also see Android 4.4 KitKat being the OS of SM-G900S.
So when do have this? Well some reports suggest that Samsung is planning on launching its next flagship in the first quarter of 2014.
And the big question will be answered in time about the real identity of the device: S5 or still something else? But one thing is certain - the specs are really impressive. See some more down below.
Impressed? Or you think it is no big bang as compared to S4?
