How to Download APK Files From Google Play

Android application package file (APK) is the file format used to distribute and install application software and middle ware onto Google's Android operating system; very similar to an MSI package in Windows or a Deb package in Debian-based operating systems like Ubuntu.

An APK file contains all of that program's code (such as .dex files), resources, assets, certificates, and manifest file. As is the case with many file formats, APK files can have any name needed, provided that the file name ends in ".apk".

Why would one want an APK file? Well the need arises when:

• Particular game or app is not compatible with an android device you are using.
• Sometimes in one country or region the app or game one is trying to download is not available from Google play store.
• And if you are trying to install the app in another device which is listed with the Google play store. For example Amazon Kindle Tablet that doesn't possess the play store.

If you want to download APK files from Google Play, you may follow the following procedure as downloading APK file directly from Google play store is not possible:

• The APK file can be downloaded through an android app developer named Evozi, which is offering one click download option to download APK file for android app from Google play. 
• The app could be assessed on http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/. Here, you need to write the URL address of the app which is listed on Google play store. 
• Then you need to click on Generate Download Link icon. Your APK file will be ready to download on your Phone when you click on the given icon. This downloading will depend on the size of the file.
• However before installing the APK file you’ll need to tell your phone device that any app can be installed outside the Google play store. This can be done through selecting “Enable” download from unknown sources in your mobile phone settings.
