Sony has announced Monday that it has started rolling out its Xperia Tablet Z globally.
The tablet, which was originally showcased in Japan in January 2013, is a successor to the company’s previous released Xperia Tablet S. The company has not revealed the local pricing right now, but the tablet will be sold starting $499 in the United States.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be released in 4G/ 3G and Wi-Fi only versions and should be available widely in the intended markets over this week.
Running on Android 4.1, Sony Xperia Tablet Z comes with 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 10.1-inch 1920x1200p display and 8.1MP rear camera. The tablet also packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and microSD card slot.
The tablet will be sold in both Black and White colours options.
