Facebook 'Gets' more Apples as Williamson of Apple’s iOS 6 Maps team joins Facebook

It has been reported that Richard Williamson,  a former iOS executive who ran Apple’s iOS 6 Maps team and also worked on Siri features, has joined Facebook.

As per the report, Williamson joined Facebook in the past couple of weeks to be a manager within its expanding mobile-software group, said two of the people, who declined to be identified because the information isn't public.

Facebook, which has already hired a number of Apple engineers, will have its services boosted and enhanced manifold by the presence of wizards and engineers like Williamson and others.

It may be added that Williamson’s hire marks one of the more high-profile hires of former Apple employees.
