Snapdragon 800 GL Benchmark Seemingly Beats Every GPU in Mobile Devices

While we have talked enough of Galaxy S4 and the euphoria seems to have settled down, here is another bombshell - not from Samsung but from LG this time.

It has been reported by Wahaab JB at Chip Hazard that a GPU benchmark of an 'unidentified' LG device powered by Snapdragon 800 Soc seems to have taken everyone by surprise as news about it appeared in the popular GLBenchamrk website.

The results show the presence of an Adreno 330 GPU - which looks like a mother of all powerhouses and beats all of its competitors by an epochal margin.

The following benchmark graph shows LG D801 at least 300 frames ahead of Apple's iPad 4. It may be noted that it runs with an unconventional resolution of 1794 x 1080 (which is 1080p with virtual buttons).

The device seems to be operating on Android 4.2.2 OS. There’s no telling if we would see such a coercive device this year or not. But it’s certainly going to make a monumental impact on the smartphone market if it gets released before another worthy rival comes along.

Stay tuned for more on Snapdragon 800 GL GPU and we will update as and when something new or more to what we have is made available.
